What's the most resilient parasite ?
An idea.
A simple idea from the human mind can build maps, especially if it's stupid.

cp_inception is a map based on one simple idea : 3 stages, 3 themes. This is the plan : stage one = city/industrial, stage 2 = desert, stage 3 = alpine.
If you looked at the screenshot, you might think you spotted a paradox : the map is in alpha, so everything is dev themed.
But you would be wrong.
The theme is not only a bunch of textures and models, it's a way of designing a map. Your subconscious associate each theme with some characteristic architectures, and the stages can be really varied without inducing dissonance (it's not like there are pine in the desert and medieval signs in the city, each stage is built in a really distinct area).

The name "Inception" is a reference to the different levels of dream in Christopher Nolan's movie. But the motion picture and the map are both focusing on the use of horizontal and vertical space in visually interesting ways.
( ... I have no idea of what I'm saying ...)

Feedbacks are welcome, mostly about the capture times (I let the default values but it's really important since it's the kind of detail that can make a map collapse). And then I will have insomnia to make it the map you've been dreaming of.

Oh yes, these screenshots are from a previous build. I added some fences on stage 1 to make the path more obvious (I'll add more later when I will make the skybox, for now just don't walk where there is no floor)! Stage 2 has been scaled down so it's less open. And I added a light-casting floor under the grating in stage 3.
