thinking about reinstalling BF series.

I have BF2, but never really had any friends who played. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had more 'internet friends' to play with.

I bought BF2142 because two of my friends were playing it, and I wanted to join in.

It was absolutely horrible in my opinion. The only thing I liked was the walker robots. Shame they were so hard to control. :|

BF2 was a really, really fun game. One thing it was missing was a friends overlay as good as steam's- we used to use XFIRE which, frankly, sucked. But yeah, I've been wanting to reinstall BF2, because aside from the load times that game was awesome.

I loved BF vietnam. Even if I did nothing but fly around in my chopper killing people hiding in the bushes below

I really like BF2.

The stats page was one of the reasons I loved BF2 so much, you could really see how you were improving and you can really see where your strengths are.

I only have two real complaints with BF2.
1. The loading times are ridiculous.
2. I dont like the vehicle vs infantry balance.

Due to #2 I try to stick to infantry only servers, they removed that option in BF2142 so I never really got into it.

When I am at LAN parties with friends we leave the vehicles on, but thats different from online.

What? Did BF1942 ever exist?
