Arena Huntsmen 2.1

This is the final version of this map unless there is any other major bug issue. A lot of the bugs should be fixed the final size of this map is 10mbs due to a lot of models. I changed the land texture and added sound of the wind near the porter potties since the smoke/stink is moving. I also fixed the gator models they where not properly showing up. There may be an issue with the addon I made not having the sniper show up automatically with the crossbow so you may have to add it your self if you just see hands. But other then that all the previous bugs should be fixed.

You guys are more then welcome to decompile this map and take a peak at the coding and add stuff to it. This is my final and only map I just wanted to fix everything before i left all the bugs hanging. Enjoy feel free to use it or customize it.

Be fair about the comments this map is still in its early stages I just started it yesterday.

ok here area few problems:
1: Lack of lighting
2: it doesn't switch my weapon to huntsmen, it just glitches in the air
3: how many players is this? it's far too small and there are no paths for people to move across.
4: use displacements so everything is not flat
5: models are all missing textures.
6: Don't add aesthetics until the map is done game play wise well.
This is early in alpha so i'm sure it's got a long way to go, And you're off to a good start!

Thanks, didn't realize the textures where missing on the models. Not sure if Pakrat packed everything correctly or not I will look into that. Thats a problem I had mapping my maps seemed to flat I will try to fix this also. I used the SDK TF2Maps launcher so maybe that had some issues as well when compiling. Also hammer editor doesnt work for me in steams default launcher so this is why I use tf2maps.

Pretty sure I said 10 vs 10 for players but maybe this small of a map its more like 5 vs 5. Later tonight I will re-compile the map see if it works properly.

I would also recommend to not use hl2 props (like the wood props in your map) and stick to the tf2 style.
I dont know if you're planing to retexture them but that might be a good idea.

Yeah I am planing on re-texturing this is still in its alpha phase I have alot to do still.

Another side note the wood prop you see when you spawn is mainly protection. So you do not get ambushed as bad. But as every map there are ways around it.

Just did a test the custom models are still not packing right. Can anyone please help me fix this issue.

Map has been successfully packed using PackBSP manually some reason the auto stuff is glitched. If you would like to re-download the update please do so!

Everyone the final version of the map is done. I got everything compiled into the map and everything should show up. The map is around 10mbs due to models in the map. I used VIDE because pakrat will not work for me on Windows 7. Enjoy the map and thanks for the comments! I will be posting a new video soon.
