Hello
Since a few days, I had suddenly a very annoying bug with hammer. When I try to select an object (prop, brush, entities, whatever) it selects the object BEHIND the object I clicked. Here a example where i tried to select this crate:

I clicked excatly at the spot where the red cross is, but instead the wall got selected and I have to hide the wall (and every object behind the wall) before I can select my crate.

I deleted the bin Folder in common/Team fortress 2 and let Steam check my TF2 files so I can redownlaod the bin folder, but the bug was still there.

Can someone please help me? It's terribly annoying to hide a lot of stuff when you want to select something.

I haven't seen this problem before and Ive seen a lot, can you select the object in the 2d grid view? Have you tryed deleting it and recreating it? Also see if "reverse selection order" is checked in your options, 3d tab. Im not sure what that is for and have never used it, but it seems do something with selecting.

It was the "reserve selection order" *facepalm*
I don't remember checking it <_> I don't randomly check stuff at the options just to see how much I can fuck up hammer. It was a ghost, I swear it.

Anyway, thank you :) I asked many people and nobody knows this option... why does it even exist? o_O It's so useless and annyoing.

Protip: in the 3d view, clicking and holding on an object will scroll through all the objects under the cursor (so if you clicked and held on the crate, it would cycle through the crate, the wall, whatever's behind all that, then back to the crate and so forth).
