Hello all,

I've got a rather simple concept - similar to Viaduct but with added verticality and a Nucleus style pit of death surrounding the KoTH point. Assuming I don't scrap this, (please don't be offended to suggest that, I spent all of 5 minutes on this) it will be my first map in the Hammer Editor.

Any feedback is strongly appreciated as I intend to begin work on a map this weekend once I finish another project.

Thanks

Yeah - wasn't sure how to draw up a layout for TF2, so I quickly did that one up on a break earlier. Guess i'll make a grey block tonight and take a look at this plugin. Thanks for the heads up!

you're not alone with that problem. I can't visualize 3D space from a plain sheet of paper, so i usually just start with an idea and build from that one place i know what should look like.

It may seem frustrating at first to do so much work before getting any real feedback, but... Well, i can only describe it as "you get used to it".

Not a problem really - I've made plenty of maps in UDK so i'm used to the process. Just figured i'd throw something up anyway.

I know this is a very early concept but. One thing jumps out at me. The center point has almost no cover. I think snipers would have a hay day there. Maybe building the center point into a building or something with a roof ?

On a side note it reminds me of a map from the N64 games. Game was called Perfect Dark. So I think this concept could work I know it has a long way to go. I am looking forward to seeing it come along.

Right right, I was looking for suggestions on the center so that's great!
My current idea was to place a sniper fence (if I remember) on opposite sides of each teams sniper building, in sort of the manner that Badlands spire shields one side of the point with the wall. So you could only see half the point from each side as it were.
