Well, it's a 5cp map. It'll probably get detailed like a power plant eventually. The bridge in the middle will appear to be used by the trucks too, instead of being just a random bridge. I'm aware of a couple lighting issues, I'm just interested in the layout right now. I'm prepared to completely redesign second, and already have twice.

Last looks more or less ripped from Granary, not sure if I like that. Try coming up with your own last to give players the feeling of playing on cp_coalbed, not cp_granary. How about a download, so we can HARSHLY CRITICIZE the map?

And here I thought it would be too much like Foundry last, though it does look more like Granary.

I don't think the map looks that much like Granary at all. Mid and second certainly don't resemble Granary, and last isn't all that much similar either. It's looking like a pretty good layout so far, although I would recommend putting some sloped displacement ground on second or at least making it a bit more interesting. Mid looks cool but I'm afraid that the two walls beside the point might provide too much cover.
Let's see a download, because I think it looks pretty good and unique - doesn't really resemble any map too much right now. I like it.

I can see some similarity to granary and to foundry, but it's not too similar. The point itself is much more like foundry than granary.

So I changed some stuff, but the only significant change is the shape and cover of the bridge in the center.

I'm aware of the obvious effects of the areaportals in certain areas, I just haven't got around to fixing it since it's only a cosmetic issue beyond the gameplay area.

I'm still ready to change the second point however it needs to be changed, but i want to see it played first so I know what to do.

The download is also available now, so feel free to HARSHLY CRITICIZE it

In response to the consensus that the map is too big, I'm scrunching things up a bit
It's a lot of work to do an edit this big so it'll take a while

Protip for you and anyone else who's working on a map that uses the rocks-on-concrete texture from Foundry:

I'm guessing this was meant to be a pile of rocks on top of perfectly flat ground. Instead, it looks like a random mound of concrete that happens to have rocks on top of it. Foundry makes this mistake all over the place too. I realize Hammer's lack of blendmap support makes it hard to tell if you're doing it right. The trick is to make sure the alpha blending is such that all the vertices that are part of the mound itself — including the ones at ground level that form the "base" — are maxed out at full rockage, and optionally blend out from there. The big pile of sand on Double Cross's bridge is a good example of how this is done right.

Massive update it done, waiting for a game day for feedback.
I'm still not too happy with second, and I'm thinking of other designs. Still improved over the old version, though.
