EDIT: I'm a moron, r_3dsky was set to 0 for some reason, you can remove this thread

As the title suggests I can't get my 3d skybox to work. I even created a test map and I believe I have done everything correctly, but the 3d skybox still does not show. I'm probably stupid and have missed something glaringly obvious, but help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you only have a sky_camera in the 3D skybox itself? There shouldn't be one in the regular map.

Yes I'm sure: http://i.imgur.com/jH3mEuX.png

That doesn't solve the problem, but I'm postig it anyway.

Are you compiling with FAST vvis?
Is the "real" map part really on the origin?
Try using the "2d skybox" texture on the faces in the 3dskybox.

Like I said it's just a test map, but I'll change it for the sake of your eyes :p

Compile options are all set to normal, 2d skybox brushes in the 3d skybox didn't help, and I'm sure it's in the origin as I copied the geometry, used it for reference, then scaled it down.

Not sure why it didn't work for you, but I quickly moved the spawn point up a bit (too close to ground sometimes players get stuck in ground - shouldn't affect skybox at all) and compiled. My compile settings are default except fast vvis, but again that shouldn't affect the skybox.

Try setting r_3dsky 1 if it is 0.
