I mean what settings should I use and what commands do I need to know to start making a simple arena match ?

I have an idea for a mideval koth map with 2 forts like the one in degroot keep (the wooden one) and a bridge with the point on it and it would be under a river and you could fall off but I dont know how to execute it.

No no, they said the bridge would be under a river. Totally different. ;)

But seriously. If you're trying to figure out the entity setups, the Ultimate Mapper's Resource Pack over in the tutorials section has a file containing entity setups for all the standard gamemodes. Just find the one that's clearly for KOTH and use it as a guideline for placing the entities in your map. If you want help with something specific, feel free to drop back in here. If you want help with a lot of something-specifics, I recommend the chat room.

Also, there are two very important things you should learn to succeed succesfully :
- Start small. Don't make super ambitious projects with tons of features for your first try. Do simple things, and then make them gradually better.
- Just RTFM. Seriously.
