As I mentioned earlier, I'd like to replace the shipping crates in Turbine2 with a pair of delivery trucks of similar dimensions. Not like the vans in the construction pack; I want something like this, but in a 1950s-1960s style. I found this pawing through Google Image Search, and it's close to what I'm looking for, but it seems a bit on the short (lengthwise) side and maybe just a bit too old-fashioned looking (compare to the cab of our dump truck, for example).

*shrug* If you know where to find a better collection of reference photos, particularly for a more recent model, please let me know. Or if you feel confident that you can design one of your own that looks period-appropriate, by all means go ahead. I'm still figuring out whether I want them team-colored or affiliated with neutral third parties. I'll probably design the logos myself once I do, since that's one of my few applicable skillsets.

I always thought those trucks look silly, Element. I can see why people like them though.

ConPack has a flatbed truck, just saying ;D

I was kind of leaning toward something of the flatnosed variety, since it would prevent players from jumping from the ground to the top, but that's a very weird looking truck. But I've liked your vehicle models so far, so I'd love to see you turn that thing into something original, and I'd gladly use it if you do.

Those are nice, but they're awfully long. Like the length of the shipping crates plus the cab. I intentionally avoided saying semitrailer for that reason.

So speaking of taking too long... :p

I decided to re-google this, because sometimes Google Images finds cool new stuff if you give it time, and I found these fine specimens:

What I was aiming for was sort of a hybrid of these two, with a body design similar to the first one (a late-1960s model, according to the source), though maybe a little earlier looking, but with the length of the second, with four wheels on the back instead of two because they would be carrying heavy steel components. For further reference, this is what I will be using in the next alpha of my map as a placeholder:

Just imagine the back two wheels being further back.

Not to burst any bubbles or anything but I've yet to see that many wheels on a truck that size, unless the entire thing is a cab with a small cargo section meant to tow a container truck behind it as well. I would guess that the reasoning is impracticality - it probably makes it more difficult to make tight turns and anything heavy enough to need additional axles would probably be shipped in the larger trucks anyway.

However, I may not have encountered one yet!

Huh. You're right; I looked up pictures of U-Haul trucks just now, and it looks like they have just the pair at roughly the three-fifths mark. I did see that they get to be even longer than my placeholder, though, which was more in keeping with what I had pictured. I wonder if any trucks were that long back then. It's not hugely important, though; the wider stack of barrels at the middle seems to negate any sightline differences caused by the trucks being shorter than the shipping crates were.
