I've hear the term a couple of times and I'm thinking that it might mean different things to different people - hence my confusion.

Is there a common defintion for everyone or examples of it?

thanks

Geometry is the opposite of models - brushes. Detail geometry refers to detailing made exclusively from brushes.

Open a Valve map and toggle the func_detail visgroup.

There's your detail geometry.

It varies from map to map but is usually things like support beams, parts or all of roofs, or anything wacky.
