October 30 - SDK Update and Bug Fixes

As of right now today the SDK is updated. In addition to fixing the Halloween bugs, the letters C, H and U work again. You may all return to your regularly scheduled maps.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand we're back to normal. Out of curiosity I checked the Model Viewer input bug as well, and it looks like that was resolved as well. Did you happen to mention that in your email, Yyler?
I did email them about it previously, but not this time. I did mention that "the kids at tf2maps.net" are crying and flailing their arms and et cetera.

I imagine they held the CHU update off until they had another update to do, as they often do with other things.

Makes me wonder if anything else is fixed.

i miss finding models in creative ways to bypass the chu bug
i also miss doing things other than hammering bad things just to do something while listening to music

I was told Eric Smith fixed all our problems, so I replied back with a screenshot of this and CCed him:

I haven't noticed any ill effects with it, but I let them know, and then told them that if the mood strikes them I've got a pretty good sized list of reproduceable bugs we could chat about.

Good day for Hammer imo.

Um a question, for some odd reason this update has done nothing for my sdk and it is still doing the same thing, has anyone got this and found a solution for it.

Can you tell me any more about it? You got the update, right, and you're running the Source MP version of the SDK with TF2 selected?

^You need to start up TF2 and then close it and run hammer.

Or, validate the TF2 Cache files by going into Library > Right click TF2 > Properties > and then Validate Game files or something.

It's not a new thing.

It's not a new thing.

That's weird because I was playing Team Fortress 2 before and it forced me to validate, did it again and it now runs, thanks. :)

Sorry, but what does CHU mean?

They are the 3 characters that couldn't be entered in the search box for the model browser

EDIT : Is it just me because I didn't defragment my drive since I deleted those 100 Gos or does Hammer take years just to load a single map, then lags out like hell

RE EDIT : I just noticed that if you grab something with your mouse, the cursor stays like it was (mouse pointer)
