FastDL errors with dropbox?

Hey hey everyone, I'm having errors trying to use the command:

sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowupload 1
sv_downloadurl "https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1f7qmimcj4rtp9f/o1ClR4s2Vz"

Everyone says that it tells them 'Missing map maps/cp_desertion_event.bsp disconnecting''

The map files are up there. Is Dropbox not capible of using the sv_downloadurl?

Am I doing this wrong?
I remember having this problem when not on Dropbox as well.

The maps work just fine if I don't have the sv_downloadurl. The giant catch is the giant lag if someone downloads while 3+ people are playing.

I didn't think you needed to link the maps folder. Just the base folder with your TF2 content. Thanks. I'll give it a try.

I'm pretty sure dropbox doesn't have something that checks what the HTTP request is coming from. The problem is most likely because you are using a share link, which is NOT a direct address to a directory, but rather a web page. Put a file inside the folder, and "copy public link" which is a direct address, then remove the filename from it.

That said, keep in mind dropbox WILL suspend public access if you exceed a certain (undisclosed) bandwidth limit, so don't use it for anything more than a couple friends.
