How do you make small hills? Just for the ground, not any actually tall hills, just bumps.

I downloaded the ultimate resource pack from the sticky, but how do I use it? aka, what do I do once I've installed it?

Try displacements. Note that they do NOT seal the map.

As for the resource pack, try reading the description of it a few more times. Some part are passive improvements, some are just example content.

As a note on displacements: Use power 2 displacements most of the time. If you have a very large flat plane (like 1024x1024+) then you can use 3. But just use 2 always to be safe.

I would say if you have a 1024x1024 displacement, that's too big, just break it up into 4 512x512 ones. Large displacements can easily cause problems, besides which if you've got disps that big your areas are probably overscaled (though not always).
