So it's finally happening. I got a host family in Missouri, Marshall and I will fly this Wednesday. Any advise? Does somebody lives near Marshall?

Wish me luck.

First of all, if you are gonig to swear someone, swear in German. I done something like that a few years ago and watching peoples face's while you swear things that would make you lose your balls in your country is just simply amazing

First thing about Missouri is there's a lot of different ways to say it.Some will try to correct you on this.

1) The First is an I sound at the end- Missour(i)
2) The Second is a long e sound at the end- Missour(ee)
3) The Third way is an a sound at the end- Missour(a)

I honestly have no idea on what is correct. I live in Wisconsin, it's kind of like Missouri but cold, and without an arch, and cows instead of corn.

This is coming from someone who's family is from Missouri. So yeah good luck! I would love to travel to a different country (across the ocean) one of these days when I get a chance.
