Glacius is set to be a 3 stage CP A/D map somewhere that contains snow.

My goal for this map is to keep it simple, clean and entertaining. Apart from that, i aim to end up with slightly less choke than in maps like dustbowl.

It's cool, but it's way too big- both in terms of size and complexity. It's very long, and red have so long to snipe and harry at blu that blu finds it very hard to put up full strength at the end.

I think difficulty is a little geared towards defense- that hill is kinda tricky at the second point. I might recycle that point into stage 2, if i were you. Alternatively, removing some or one of the good sentry positions at the end.

The door that leads out next to the second point, on the left from blu's perspective, is very small and i never was able to do much from it because i constantly got spammed away from it. Widening it, or perhaps moving it direct to the point could help. Remember on dustbowl blu have a nearly completely covered, largely one-way route almost direct to B.

Thank you for the feedback! - Very helpful stuff ;)

I think i'll attempt to widen and angle the door you mention and i already killed the tiny house at the second point, so thats one less sentry spot.

As for the lenght of the map, i will try to hold on to it - maybe fiddle with the respawn times or something like that.
I kinda want to give teleporters the power they deserve.

I've uploaded a video featuring your map:

TF2: cp_glacius_stage1_a1

Please do something about the gates at BLU's spawn. At the beginning of the video, a RED sniper shot me during setup time. Also, the gates in general often closes on people after one person exits the spawn.

The door problem might be because of an OnEndTouch trigger being used instead of an OnEndTouchAll

It very much was.

The problem have been fixed for days; The footage Traffic provided is from a gameday that took place 10 days ago :p

Actually, the footage was from last Sunday's game day. Last week was my first time playing the map. I'm also at work during the Thursday game days, and I don't have access to Steam during working hours.

Oh, right. The first gameday i signed up for was cancelled, so it didn't get tested untill a few days later. Forgot that :O
Point remains: Those doors should be fixed now :p

So, some thoughts on yesterdays gameday:

People pretty much agreed that a3 was a stepback compared to the second version.
The blue spawn was clearly far to close to the first point and the second point was far too easy to defend with the shed returned. There were also complaints about that the area below point A wasn't properly incorporated in the gameplay.

Here is what i propse:

- The shed at the second point has to go. The height advantage is far too powerful, especially since it is stage one.
- The blue spawn should be moved to "fuse" the area below point A together with the rest of the map.
- The first area must be redesigned, to get rid of the sightline across the bridge.
- The pickups need better placement. This is something I'd love getting suggestions and tips about.

Please let me know if you have any criticism or ideas. I am forever learning ;D
