It's that time of year again, folks. Time to try and get a game of D&D going around here. I'm planning to run some kind of one shot for Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition, and like to know if anyone is interested in joining in.

The plan is to make use of RPG Table Online, which can be found at http://rpgtableonline.com/welcome.php. If you intend to play, you'll need an account on the site, and I'll need to friend you or invite you to the game.

To be clear, this isn't an every week game. Just one short adventure that should only take one night to play. Due to a combination of potential new players, unfamiliar software, and the fact that I'm a moron, though, it's more likely to be a two session thing.

As far as characters go, you're free to make your own, have me make one, or if there's interest we can work together and make them as a group in mumble or something. I'm willing to let people make temporary use of my DDI account to use the character builder there, or there are other methods available if you plan to make your own. Regardless, I need to see and okay the character. It may be a one-shot, but I encourage you to do the whole backstory and personality thing.

A microphone would be preferred, but if you really want to play and you don't have one there is a text chat that can be used. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll try to keep this post updated with a roster and any additions needed. New or experienced players are welcome.

I'll talk to all the players to try to work out a time. I have the adventure ready, so sometime in the next two weeks would be best. I can run it basically any time on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. For the rest of the week it will have to be in the evening or the night, central time U.S.

Roster:
Okrag - Wallace Mikalson, Human Bard
Lancey
Tarry H Sruman
Wilson - Kagrenac the Great, Drow Paladin
GPuzzle - Grook, Half-Elf Rogue

I'm going to cap it at five, but if you're interested feel free to post here, and I'll consider you a reserve if one of these five drop out. Also, if you could mention how much experience you have with 4th Edition, tabletop rpgs, and what times would be work best for you in your post, that would be great.

Does it matter if i am terrible at these kind of games?
If not, i'm in if i have the time to play when ever this happens.

What day/time will be it? If I'm online when the game is rolling, I'm 200% in.

I can say with some amount of certainty that we will be playing on Thursday, August 30 at 7:00 Central Time (Midwest of America). I've talked to all of the players about this, but if any issues come up let me know as soon as possible.

Please get your character sheets to me as soon as possible. I must have them by Wednesday, August 29. Once you have your character approved, I would greatly appreciate it if you would add them into the virtual table. You don't need to fill in everything from your sheet, but at least your hitpoints, ability scores, and defenses need to be in their. You can also add your powers in for automatic dice rolls.

Anyone interested in listening in can join the TF2Maps mumble server to hear us in all our glory. I'd also be willing to let people spectate in the client if they wish, though I'll decide that on a case by case basis.

So we were unable to play as planned Thursday duw to drop-outs. So right now, I'm going to reschedule it for Sunday, September 2nd, at 2:00. If this time does not work for you, let me know as soon as possible. If you have an alternative best time for a rescheduled game, post it here and we'll see if we can work something out for everyone.
