ctf_datalink_a1

Hello, this is a map that i have been working on for about a week and i thought that i would join and show my work as i have been a viewer of the forum and other mappers WIP's for a bit now.

Data Link is a ctf with a little twist, instead of just capturing the enemies intel and just running back to your own intel to capture it you must go to your Data Link room and use your computer to extract the intel which takes 15 Seconds.

However your Data Link computer can be destroyed by the opposite team and this means that your computer will be down for 2 minutes while it is been repaired, in this time you can not extract any intel meaning you wont be able to cap it. After 2 minutes your computer will be back online and you will be able to extract and cap the enemey intel.

Also their is another addition in the ctf twist, in the middle of the map their is a control point which can be caped by both teams. On the capture of this point it will unlock the shortcut doors for which ever team owns the point. The shortcut will take you to the enemeys intel. However you can not take the intel back through the shortcut if you try you will drop the intel.

Screenshots

The above shot is from the Data Link room in which you extract the enemey intel. In this shot you can see the buton on the wall which the arrow points to, you can either touch or shoot it to start the extraction process. You must stay in the capture zone which is marked with the hazard strips on the floor. It says 20 seconds in this shot but this has been fixed, it nows says the right time.

The above shot is from inside the intel room and you can see the shortcut door. The sign above it will appear when you have the control point.

What do you guys think of it, sound good?

sounds like a fun map. i take it you'll have the flag hud up? also how long does it take to destroy the datalink thingy? like say using a heavy machine gun? and also the overhead pic makes the map seem HUGE. i dno could just be me :p

Might want to use the tf game text, it'll look a ton better than having the white messages.

At the moment to break the computer it takes 7 rockets worth of damage. What do you mean by i'll have the flag hud up.

because tf2 doesnt support 2 different types of gametypes so u can only have either the flag hud or the cp hud not both. (i probably worded that wrong....)

Oh i see what you mean, i have the flag hud (You can see it in the pics)

Little update i changed the text from the white messages to the game_text_tf which looks alot better.

I also have a question, is their anyway to filter the flag carrier in things like trigger_multiplys. I have checked all the filters in the editor but none of them have a option to filter the flag carrier. I want the flag carrier to be the only one that can start the extraction process.
