It just makes the sky not look like one of those book puzzles you have to unfocus your eyes at in order to see a 3D pirate ship. It's a pretty ugly texture when you use it on huge walls of geometry.

Ah. Odd. Never bugged me that much, I suppose. After trying it out, it does look quite a bit cleaner and easier to work with.
