Hi,

Is it possible to display the dimensional units a wall or floor is in a map via a console command of some sort?

I don't think this is possible. Why not just go to Hammer, open it up the decomplied map, select the brush you want?

The map is protected in such a way that it crashes VMEX. I was hoping there was a way to get the units of measurement via a console command instead of dirty hacks.

I think there is a console command that is like "takepos" or something. it'll return the YXZ coordinates of your location.

Who would protect their map from hacks?

(Also, are you from the community "Get Wrecked, Kid!" because those glasses look very familiar to ones I saw on the HTML post of that community.)

It's unlikely, however you can use getpos to dump your position to the console so you can do rough measurements ingame using that.
Alternatively you can open the maps up in hammer and see exactly how they're made, download them here

EDIT: Ninjas discover the maps aren't Valve's. So the getpos method is best (do it whilst spectating for maximum accuracy)

Thanks. The map I'm working with is an old TFC map rock2_b1 that was ported to TF2. I'm looking into rebuilding a lot of the old TFC maps to work with the new Special Delivery mode Valve released with the Pyro update.

rock2_b1 is protected in such a way that I cannot decompile it to get dimensions and such for rebuilding.

Isn't VMEX obsolete?
