SO glad I found this site! Ive been a mapper for.. well.. a while. Heck my first map was for QTF involving a swamp, 2 shacks, and a custom aligator model 'flag'.
Ive been away from the community for quite a number of years though, so Im back to being a total novice. I was a member of the HLERC (half life editing resource center, same concept as this site, but much, much older) back in the late 90's and had managed to get ONE map onto a server rotation. The map wasnt the best, but the game play was fun, and the concept was interesting. CTF style but when the 'flag' was captured, a missile would launch from one base to the next, killing all those inside.

-side note- ALWAYS remember to run RAD when compiling a map for testing!! :cursing:
I uploaded the wrong file to the forums server and the first comment that came across: "HOLY FULL BRIGHT!!! -player disconnected-"

Anyway...
A few weeks ago a good friend of mine decided to add TF2 to his game servers, and since I had a free copy of the OrangeBox just sitting in my steam account that I had never installed, I decided to give it a go. Well, my gameing skills arent what they use to be, but thats all it took to make me trip down memory lane.

So here I am. Just finished a test run of a new map on the clans server. Its not that great, heck, its not even that good, but for my first map in years, its nice to know that I still have a creative kick. Im hoping that I can relearn all of those old tricks, make improvments to my designs, and get feedback from the community!
