Here's a few signs I made. Not the greatest but I will get better the more I make. I figured everybody wanted more signs so I will be making quite a few. I also need some ideas. Once I have about 10, I will put them in a zip file, then do 10 more. I figure on making about 30 new signs.

Nice. I'm thinking about doing the same with posters I'm making for the contest (packs of ten).

Nice, the second one is perfect for my map. :)

I really haven't got any ideas for you right now, sorry.

I'd like a RED opposite to the BLU Industries sign, that would be perfect for my map.

Pretty please? :p

So Red Industries? I will probably make quite a few of the signs that only have one color into the other color.

For the 1st two signs I think red members, or blue members would work better then players. Its plays more to the fact that they are organizations rather then just a game.

Good call bro. I'm gonna change that. That is why I saved every single layer in photoshop. :)

What the hell, I went ahead and did farmer boy in blue and red. Now there are 3 options. Lots of variety right?

Those look great.

I have two questions about Photoshop:

How do you make the dirt on the farmer signs, and how did you draw the silhouettes, what tool did you use.

I used 2 programs. Photoshop and Illustrator. Just browse the web for cool signs or images. Copy into PS and use Pen tool to outline. Save outline as a selection. Fill in with black, inverse selection, cut. New document, make it twice as big as default input from selection. Paste. Create new trasnparent layer and move below your pasted in object. Now you should have your black object with a transparent background. Next is how you want to make your sign. Diamonds are easy. Make a new selection on a new layer. For square just set at 512x512 and fill with white color. Make sure that layer is selected and rotate 45 degrees. Take that same selection and reduce it and fill with another color on another layer. That will give your diamond an outline. Then I save and open in Illustrator. Live Trace to convert to vector image, make larger. Save and open in PS again. Now you have a larger clean image. Next add text and spruce up however you like.

For getting the dirty grunge look, create a new layer each time you add a grunge brush, rotate them and move them around to your liking. I take base color and just change a tad bit. It doesn't matter if you spray outside the lines. You will take your base selection and inverse and copy merged. Paste into new document and size up. Done.

Those are very simple terms but it's a bit complicated if you have never done it. Read some tuts on the stuff I wrote if you get lost.

OK thanks. I'll need to use illustrator a bit more.
