Moving Props?

i was thinking just a second ago, can you make props move. because i was thinking of putting a crane in my map and have a shipping container hanging from it. but then i thought it might look better if the shipping container move a little"flowing in the wind". so i just thought i would post this up and see if everyone no's how to make props move. maybe something like waypoints, but im not sure.

Pff, easy, make a func_train for the movement. If you don't know how it works refer to a tutorial. Than make the prop a prop_dynamic, and parent it to the train

cheers for the comment, but.... i was wondering for a prop could sway from sie to side ?

yes, you just need to create more func_tracks and branch tracks

Would it not be better to do a phys_ballsocket so that the crate swings freely, then put a rope between the crane and the container to make it look like its is hanging. Then it would look more realistic

I Don't think physics stuff is that good in a multiplayer map.

Unless it's outside of the game area.
