Looks like im not going to finish making that maps table, the reason neglected to write the date is because I thought I'd do a couple of these through this week all using this thread, I thought the already setup steam community event would be sufficient to show when the event, was assuming people are on steam more often than they check the forums.

The trouble with already setup events is the announcement made when you make the event confuses people. When i was organising a couple events in advance in the past everyone would moan that nothing was happening in the server since nobody bothers to read the info.

Weird. You'd think people would learn pretty quickly to tell the difference between "has scheduled an event" and "has event starting", especially when the former doesn't create a pop-up window.

It's not like the scheduling tends to happen a lot of time in advance, so the effective difference is minor.

@ Grazr, I actually had no problem with this but I did make sure to schedule it at a time we rarely start an event (like 3am GMT) only Pure Quaternion P.H.D joined the server as a result and that was like half an hour after. I've also done an hour early schedules before for Gameday once every while over the last year or so and it's been fine, people have smartened up to it me thinks.

EDIT: @ Henke, I scheduled Sunday's event like 20 hours in advance
