It's amazing. You should watch it if you haven't already. You should just not sleep for the next two hours if you have yet to watch it, because you will watch it immediately and then start discussing it. Then you can sleep. But only if you did your homework.

What do you guys think?

Edited the title so that there is a warning for spoilers... So you aren't limited on your discussion.

And I love it. I think that in the first 2 episodes they really helped explain what the new world is like, and covered a lot of bases on who/where everyone is or was.

but I'd still love to know where Suki went.
I also think that Jet lived in the first series, and that there is some tie from him, to Aman.

Beardog's got nothin' on flying bison. That is all.

I lied, there is more. I think I'm actually pleased that it looks like the main protagonist isn't going to be so easily excitable. Aang had too much immediate out of place stupid reaction to things. <jackiechanface>

I didn't really the like the way in episode 1 Katara from the original series was just like "yea, my brother and Aang are dead" like it was nothing, she even seemed happy about it; and the way it was done narratively is a big no no in comic story telling. The original series took its time telling the entire story over 3 whole series whilst this one seems to just be rushing into it.

Plus everything seems to be a joke to everyone, even the serious characters... one of the things i liked about the original series was how some of the characters had those hyper-comic faces when they were "unimpressed" or "angsty" and even if a bad person had to act cartoonishly goofy (Mai/Ty Lee) they were only in out of context "moments". But now everyone seems to do that all the time; the bad guys, the good guys, the old guys, the extras... it's hard to get a read on the different characters when they're all acting *finger quote* "goofy".

I liked the original series because it wasn't just a child's story, but this just feels like a typical modern nickelodeon cartoon. "wahoo, look at all these whacky larger than life characters".

I think Korra, so far, has taking everything TLA did right and built on top of it. It's brilliant, and I can't wait to see the character development that TLA was so awesome for.
