Overlay contest!

Specifications

-You have to make a wall poster/decal/logo that fits the tf2 theme.
-Maximum resolution is 2048x2048.
-You have to submit the flat texture resized to 1024x1024 to show your texture on the forums and you need an ingame render too (stupid but yes, it's needed to prove you can get an alpha channel to work correctly)
-You have to submit your 2 pictures here:
http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?p=26026#post26026
-More than 1 entry is allowed.

Final submission date is 1 August.

Good luck, and be original!

Spread the word

You never know what crazy stuff people will pull off. If it's supposed to be placed in your own custom map, with it's own theme, on a huge wall, why not?
I agree it is too much 99% of the situations but I want to give some freedom here.

Nineaxis: You can post some too if you want :) But this is so easy that people will find it themselves. I mean, you might aswell give a photoshop tutorial etc... :)

Well, I tried. First attempt at a decal, especially a tf2 style decal.

Don't think I have the option of making a proper alpha channel in photoshop elements, think I'm going to have to get the Gimp again before I can submit my entry.

Snipergen, just to be clear, are these not allowed?

In fact, no, they really have to be new, created for this contest. They look good though. And it's not the quantity that counts but the quality :)
Afterwards I'm making a post with all textures in, and people have to vote on 1 texture, not a texture pack.
I'm not gonna allow nineaxis his first one too, he made better ones so that won't hurt you right nineaxis? :)

Its good that people are entering this one, I'm still working on my oil pump texture, I thought I'd have loads of free time with it being the end of term and all but its just been so chaotic I've had my steam rating drop below 10 for the second time since they added it!!!
I have some time today though I'll make some posters and some other stuff (JUST LIKE TO REMIND PEOPLE THIS ISNT JUST FOR POSTERS......)

Anybody know how to make the images look weathered, like the official ones?

Paint them in it, very low opacity, maybe a little bit of noise filter afterwards.
