It doesn't look exactly like it fits the normal TF2 artstyle, but it does look like a good map in and of itself.

Looks good, but do take out the HL2 signs and props, please, they stick out pretty badly.

I don't like the sky.

Give it something more fitting of TF2, and I think it will fit right in.

HALF LIFE 2 TEXTURES/PROPS!? IN MAH TEE EFF TWO!?

It's more problematic than you think. Although, the combine signs aren't tooooooo bad, those palm trees really stick out like sore thumbs. Still, if you could get TF2'y versions of the signs or find alternatives within the TF2 overlay set, it'd be better.

Otherwise, the environment and lighting looks quite cool! Looks perhaps out-of-era for TF2, but I couldn't say definitively without a run-through.

I believe the Jungle Pack has TF2-style palm trees in it.

info_player_teamspawn failed to find control point named round_c
info_player_teamspawn failed to find control point named round_b
info_player_teamspawn failed to find control point named round_d

About 20 lines of each of those in my console when I load up this map.

So I finally got around to balancing the map (one year later...)

better late then never!

Updated to pl_metropolis_b3. Balanced map and improved gameplay.

pl_metropolis_b2 had 60%+ win rate red team over 600 games. This will be closer to 50% now.

Hate to release another full version just for a small change, but it is needed. I had two conflicting entities defining respawn times, one which was correct, and one which was the old broken version. Half of the time it would choose the correct respawn times, and the other half of the time it would do instant respawn, which makes it almost impossible to cap the first point. I fixed this by deleting the old entity, which shouldn't have been there. Now the respawn times are correct and should play properly 100% of the time instead of half of the time. FWIW it 16 second spawn time difference accounting for both blue and red's difference in time.

pl_metropolis_b5 released.

We're having a problem on our servers (Top Notch) where the cart will get stuck before the first point while going down that small hill. The only way for BLU to "fix" this is to stay off the cart entirely until it starts going backwards, then they can get on it again which seems to "un-stick" it.

FYI.
