Hi,

I couldn't find anything concerning the frequently used Pine Trees in the skybox of some alpine TF2 maps.

Some examples: Thundermountain Stage 1, Sawmill, Nightfall and Doublecross. Those 4 maps certainly use pine trees in their skyboxes, but when I try to find some clues in de maps via hammer I can't find anything.

Could someone give me some directions or instructions to implement these pine trees in my skybox on a proper way?

Thanks already, guys!

Actually I mean the 2D silhouettes, but I simply don't know how to place them in the skybox...

The 2d things are typically called skycards. The lumberyard ones you are looking for are:

models/props_skybox/skycards_forest128dip.mdl
models/props_skybox/skycards_forest128bump.mdl
models/props_skybox/skycards_forest512dip.mdl
models/props_skybox/skycards_forest512bump.mdl

There are three skins with various colors that are used for distance.

What you're looking for are the props listed by 'Schwa. Though if you understand what a 3dskybox is they shouldn't be too hard to find in the decompiled maps. Just zoom out as far as you can in the 2d views and locate the small box seperated from the rest of the level. In there you'll find all the 3dskybox stuff, including the skycards.
