Any help for an overly ambitious n00b?

I have a mapping question for someone who knows what they're doing.

A few months ago someone on a TF2 forum I frequent asked what people would like to see if there was ever a Team Fortress 3. The main response was more dynamic maps, in which multiple smaller, optional objectives could be completed to facilitate the completion of the main objective - somewhat like the makers of cp_steel attempted, only more ambitious.

This got me thinking, and I wanted to ask you if multiple objectives could be combined to create such an experience. I have created a diagram of an example map, which for the purposes of demonstration I shall call pl_lockdown. The diagram can be found here; bear in mind it's just an objective flowchart, the actual map would probably look more like a cross between the final Tower stage in pl_ThunderMountain and the underground cavern of Koth_Nucleus.

The main objective in this map would, obviously, be a payload. However, the default track for this map would be so long and windy that it would be virtually impossible for BLU to succeed within the allotted time. Instead, the BLU team would have to split it's forces between keeping the cart in motion and opening gates and junctions at checkpoints to allow the cart to take shortcuts. To unlock these shortcuts, the team would have to capture a control point adjacent to a junction, allowing access to a capture point. BLU would then have to capture the intelligence from the RED base and get it to the relevant capture point to use the access codes and open the gate into the shortcut track. Meanwhile, RED team is busy trying to stop the cart, defend three different control points, and stop any BLU spies or scouts from making off with the intelligence - overall a challenging task.

Now, say I wanted to make this map. I ask you a simple question:

Is it possible?

And if so, would you be so kind as to help me?

Yes, it's possible but you must deal with a very glitchy hud. Maybe I could try to set this up for you later.
