that's right, a completely pointless debate to start a war over.

Water or Gatorade

Gentlemen, take your side, take your arms, and let's battle!

oh crap... could I get an admin to correct that misspelling in the title, and in the poll... It seems spellcheck led me astray :crying:

I don't understand the purpose of this. Gatorade is intended to be used for re-hydration during physical exertion because it provides the electrolytes your body needs to function properly. Water alone cannot do that and in fact, will hurt more than help if you drink too much when your body requires more than water.

I've never been hit by a hurricane of gatorade before so I guess I'll go with gatorade. Also, I fixed your title.

If not for that one weird film about some guy stuck in a retarded future I would never have heard of gatorade.

I also happen to drink pretty much nothing but water, no juice, no squash, hardly ever regular carbonated drinks. Occasionally an energy drink, but 99% of the time, just straight tapwater.

Pretty much just water and tea here, iced tea occasionally. Gatorade doesn't even exist here, sports and energy drinks do but since I usually only exercise for like half an hour I don't need them anyway

Pun intended? :p

I'm the same, i'd have never heard of it if it wasn't shamelessly plugged in that film.

I usually just drink squash, though there was a period of about a year when i was working at a convinience store and the camera in the stock room couldn't see the sports drinks and our supervisor openly said "feel free to nab any drink from this set of shelves without paying" so i was addicted to Orange flavour Lucazade Sport for a fair while.

what is squash as a drink

i drink a lot of coffee and alcohol. <3 poison

Juice - squished up fruits you pour from a carton/bottle and drink as is.
Squash - concentrate you pour a tiny amount into a glass then dilute with water before drinking.

Yes Grazr, pun totally intended.

(now tell me what it was)

I've learned extraordinary things from this thread, seen in comparison to what I expected upon entering it.

As for the question? Gatorade is sort of tasty I suppose, but drinking it feels unhealthy. If I actually need a drink for training/exercise (lol yeah right) it's water all the way.

Now, someone tell me how you brits manage to drink a solid fruit and/or a ball game.
EDIT: Oh.

So if no one else calls it squash, what do you call it?

How do you tell your juice from your squash? :s
