vvis problems?

When I compiled upland_rc1, vvis took 10 minutes. Now, when I'm compiling a new version, it's taking 2 hours and 10 minutes. Going back and compiling rc1 again still takes 10 minutes, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with vvis.

I haven't really made any major changes since rc1. I added a few areaportals, but I tried removing them and that didn't help the vvis time. It's mostly just added models and things like that.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause it to take so much longer?

I now this might sound dumb, but check to see if you put in any circular or otherwise cpu intensive shapes that you forgot to func_detail. I had that problem with standin, I put some circular signs in (about six of them) and it took forever to compile. Couldn't figure out what was causing it.

Already have done. Actually, rc1 had about 32 angled brushes that weren't func detail, and they only added 4 minutes to the vvis compile time. So it's definitely not that.
