Water LOD issue

depending on the angle of view on the water surface depends on the color and opacity of it. does anyone know what causes this or what may be a fix for it. I am using Well water here.

Are you using water_well or water_well_somethingweird? Always use the regular no frills versions.

Otherwise... check for leaks? I dunno

What is the difference, exactly? I've noticed (finally) that TF2's water textures already don't use proper real-time reflection like the other Source games do.

It should be Water_well.
and if you mean cheap water. is it cheap water of the same water texture or water in general. like say if I use well up top and 2fort in the bottom.

OK. can source handle water on more than one plane PERIOD?

I switched it all to hydro_cheap and now the lowest most water gives a surface similar to the lower skybox.
