Well It's been about 2 years since I put this map on here, here is the current version. RC3, it has textures oh my god!
-----------
Finally decided to release the map to the public, have had it on our server for quite some time now, but I wanted to let anyone use it as they wish.

This is a complete remake based off of WhiteWolf_X/GGODD2's map orange_x3, nothing was used other then the layout and style ideas, credit is given were credit is due.

This is some version of the map after many tests and changes, hope you like it

Since it's final I guess giving feedback is useless...

Well, atleast it looks like a better orange_x remakes (than most). Still, that is not saying much.
It looks like you have a decent understanding of the hammer editor, why not try making a map from scratch (as in, not a remake)? With some actual detailing :)

Yeah well... I get it'd defeat the purpose if you textured it, but man, with some real details I'm pretty sure everyone would play your version instead of the one they have now.

Thanks.

Yeah I really only remade the map the get some practice with hammer editor, to get used to it until I can make a better map other then my first, and not pulling my hair out on how to get things the way i want them.

Just because It says final doesn't mean It cant be changed! I guess I could keep this version like this and make another detailed and textured one, and no the tunnels are not carved.

Might take a little while tho to come up with some ideas of what in the hell this map could be designed around?

You can do some pretty interesting aesthetic things with dev textures. I like your brushwork and alternation between grey and color to create trims and highlights on your level geometry.

It actually looks like it would play moderately well! Of course, the only way to ensure that is by testing. Keep up the nice work.

People want unbalanced deathmatch spamfests because they can't play real TF2.

I agree with naso on that one (although some servers with it are very laggy)

The one thing that really makes or breaks a map is if it plays well. Textures and displacements and detailing help liven the experience, but how does the gameplay flow? Maps like Junction are very pretty to look at but are unbelievably unbalanced and horrible to play on. Maps like the alpha builds of Turbine flow great, but are still enjoyable despite the lack of things to look at. I'd readily play on ctf_turbine_a1 than cp_junction_final.

As opposed to orange_x, which is utterly unplayable in every facet of the word.
