Ok this is it... I waited long enough to do this, but i was always like "Ah i'll release it next week." And now it's at least 6 months later ;)
Maybe a few people here remember the game "No One Lives Forever". It was the first game i played online and i loved it!
This map is a rebuild version auf Nolf's "Marrakech". The original was set in a sorta arabic ambient, but i decided to go with the good old tf2 theme (because i am not a texture- or modelingartist).
In the past i was working mostly on unrealengine based games, like Postal2 (and a little Land of the Dead) And tf2 was the main reason for me to learn how Hammer works.
So.... this is my very first map on source and because of that it's quite possible i made some noob mistakes. But i am open for vicious criticism!!!!! :O

I build the whole map as exactly as possible so it would match the original design. (except some minor changes) Porting a map from one game into a completely different game is sometimes very difficult. So if people say "hey man that whole map is worse than 2fort!!" (i actually love 2fort) Well... then i'll see what i can do to change it until it's "playable". Rebuilding existing maps on different engines was always a good way for me to learn a how a specific editor programs works. ;)

Known issues:
- Minor texture alignment problems
- some Skybox terrain parts won't sew correctly
- rendering bug in the water tunnel

The last one is my biggest problem. Some people told me it's a problem with your water brushes. But even if i remove EVERY water brush out of the map, i still get that glitch. I got a few tips but those didn't work. (Or i was to inexperienced to follow the advices correctly). I believe it's caused by Visleafs but i can't figure out WHAT causes it!!
If you would like to take a look at the original vmf file, send me a pm and i'll send you a link.

For those who don't know the original game ..you could take a look at the Trailer i made ages ago. It contains several footage of the original ...you'll get the idea ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL88j5jB8Ek

It's looking quite nice. The main problem is the obvious use of Half-Life 2 content, which is a bad thing to do when you're mapping for TF2 /checkmyrhymes

Ah ok. I guess that's one thing i was expecting to happen ...Noob mistake No.1
I guess i should have payed more attention to use only tf2 content. But in testsituations the map was running without any mayor problems, so i kept going on. :| I guess it will take some time to remove/exchange all hl2 content... Thanks for the advice!!

There are a few TF2 textures that are very similar to the HL2 textures you're using. If you go to the Tools tab and click on Replace Textures, you can do just that.
