Erm. Most fireworks have pretty thin sticks. The actual 'rocket' doesn't weigh much.

Was going to say this.

Also was going to say that most of that guy's complaints seem to be because the model is very basic right now.

Yea, i thought i left a message along the same lines but i guess i never clicked "reply" before leaving the page. But my sentiments are the same.

Anyway, when i saw this rocket i immediately thought of the pyro having it on his back like Ork Stormboyz.

I imagined it performing like a hybrid of the Charge'n'Charge and Caber. Pyro charges in, explodes for 100 damage and sets everyone on fire. Ha ha ha.

The pyro firework looks a bit too similar to this;

Though I don't think the model was ever released. Soylent's looks a little too short to be a melee in comparison, imo.

I never released it, but I did finish and submit it. Never heard back from Valve on it.

In retrospect, it's probably too high poly and could stand to have the sparks removed from the fuses. And also it looks a lot thinner than I remembered.

Here's what it ended up looking like:

Going to call this done. If I don't, I'll keep tweaking and tweaking and tweaking and it'll never be finished. :\

Given Valve's history of not providing LoD's for new models and increasing the poly count with each new model release i don't think that'd have been a primary issue with your submission.

I don't get how other peoples WIP can look so much better than mine. Is it really just the roofs and skybox? :)
