I cant play for some reason i dont have a steam folder i look up steam and it isnt there. what the heck?

Sorry for the bumps, but I can't get my map to load up. In the developer Console, it's saying that it's pending the map. But nothing happens from there. Did I do something wrong?
Didn't this map go official? You shouldn't need to download this to play it and maybe that's your problem. That you have a custom map sharing the same name as official content.
If that's the case, try deleting the bsp from your maps folder and then loading the map from the game UI.

No, I'm an idiot. I had 'maps' instead of 'map'. Anyways, it loaded up great, and I got to get pratice in. Even if I was having a hard time at first. Thanks for the training map you two!

Mac Help
So I have the latest version of Mac OS X Lion. It runs TF2 like a dream. I usually spy and there is one technique, Stair Stabbing, that I would love to master. You don't get many opportunities in game, so Walkway would be a wonderful help.
The Problem: I went through all of these steps, it's in the correct folder and everything. When I put "maps tr_walkway_rc2" without "" into the DevConsole I get the response; - PENDING (1s) maps tr_walkway_rc2.bsp -
Walkway never loads...
Any idea if there is an extra step for Mac, or if it's simply not supported?
Also, as a side note, does anyone know how to convert demo files to movie file on Mac?

Does this map work any more? Didn't the TF_bots feature break it?

I did the instructions in TF2 but.. when I begin the game it says you cant change teams at this time

TF2 crashes
Every time I try to open the map, TF2 crashes without any warning. After typing in to load the map, hit Enter, then the game freezes and does nothing. After about 2 minutes my laptop stops reading from hard drive and after about 1 minute it stopped TF2 and closes itself without any warning.

I read the instructions about 7 times CAREFULLY and I can't get the map opened. I tried to open the map by making a new server, and typing it in the develop console. Someone please help and reply to this. I would greatly appreciate it.

"map tr_walkway_rc2" usually does it for me. That's "map", not "maps"
I did that too, but it didn't work. The map won't appear in anything.
