Hey Guys,

Once again sorry if im posting in the wrong place, im new to the forums.
So basically I have learnt the basics of hammer and as part of my year 12 research project I am creating a map. I dont however know what the "rules" are surrounding using props, models and textures that I have downloaded of tf2map.net? basically I have noticed a huge amount of amazing content that is perfect for what im doing. Do I have to acknowledge anyone whose content I have used, or does a map have to use only my textures, props and models if I want to upload it? and finally if I ever wanted to submit a map to valve (a long way of yet, if ever) what are their requirements?

Thanks heaps for any help.

It should be fine as long as you credit the maker. If it's more than that the creator should specify. In the rare situation that Valve buys your map, anyone who made any of the content will be credited and receive a portion of the purchase, as well as any stamp money collected.

Yeah dude steal the shit out of whatever you want. You might get blacklisted from some insular little crowd of neckbeards, but it wasn't like you were going to be the next mapping hero. When you're new you learn by examining the works of others.

Go nuts and have fun for a while. That's what this is all about.
