Only crates I've opened are those containing 98%+ paint or 98%+ strange weapons. I am acutely aware of the potential of wasting vast amounts of money.
Also I think all of the available unusual effects look retarded so the huge drive to take the risk (like a large cash prize) isn't there.

No that's fine. Just how certain members are posting about it.
(for once not trotim, I actually tend to agree that crates are borderline gambling and probably should carry a warning, but then I'm all in favour of people dumb enough to get sucked into gambling losing all their money)

This is pretty accurate as far as my luck goes. 10 crates I get a guatamaulan, 3 nappers, paint, nametag and a couple scottish resistances.
At least the fact that I get the same drops over and over. This week I got 3 skullcutters and 3 eviction notices. (real game)

lol, after that post is was equalizer, equalizer, nappers (again). OMG, then 2 more equalizers and another Guata.
OMG, at 30 now, 3 more nappers, 3 more scotts, couple more nametags. The same 4 items over and over.
@ 40, a few whites and blacks, still the same stuff : Equals, Scotts, nappers and names.
@60, 2 more Guats, mors scotts, another white.
@80, couple more nappers and guats.

Started fressh, first uncrate, a Gauta. Same exact 4-5 items all over again. What a joke.
This thing is borked. Just like unpacking crates really is.

Tried again, same items until #75, a batters with sunbeams at $178.50
same stuff #206, $515. Scorching raincatcher

You are getting the same items because it is only set up for one specific crate series, as the guy mentioned in the steam thread about it. The rates are correct for type of item, but nobody really cares about anything besides unusuals so it probably wasn't worth it to add in all the series info.
