Yeah what do we reckon then? I quite like the idea of the solumn vow, brilliant being able to see enemy health, if it's melee it'd work well with the crossbow!

The irony is that the bust of Hippocrates will make the Medic more common as a combat class since he can see what enemies are worth abandoning his patient to go off attacking. Doubly ironic if it replaces his saw and he can hit enemies with it. More-than-doubly ironic if it replaces his secondary like all other miscellaneous items leaving him with nothing to do BUT combat.

I will probably swap out my Ubersaw for that bust of Hippocrates, if only for the shear badassery of smashing someone to death with a statue (I do not have a Saxxy :( )

No smashing, I'm pretty sure...

I think it makes the medic more of a leader class - encorage people to use the mic constructively, in fact it might even add strategy. I'll be running it especially on Arena mode.

Edit: People are missing the point a bit here... Jesus, I'm sure it'll be tucked under his arm anywho...

I dislike that you talk about the WEAPONS instead of MEET THE MEDIC

I was BLOWN AWAY!! Meet the medic is the most actionpacked, funniest and most wellmade so far i think! The scene with heavy being operated and the spy in the fridge was hilarious! And the scene where heavy got übercharged froze me to the core in amazingness.

I LOVE YOU VALVe!

"but mommy, I don't want talk to strangers"

I wonder what happens if soldier uses disciplinary actions on scout and then medic uses his quick fix to get the same speed. Flying medic to front line!

Which classes are faster than a medic anyway?

I watched someone beat an Engie to death with one just five minutes ago.

Was it me? I've just been playing with the pack :).

A few misconceptions; seeing the enemies health is if you've got the whole new pack equipped and works with any of the weapons.

Uber isn't an uber but a massive, constant burst of healing - best thing about it is that it's hard for enemies to know what's happening but at the same time a sniper could kill your heavy.

The new medigun is really interesting, you're building ubers all the time and it creates a much faster experience. No overhealing but that's the best thing about it - means that *everyone* gets healed (and healed quickly), no reason to have favorites anymore!

Seeing the enemy health is great when working with a buddy heavy/solly/demo but what's really great is that you know when to switch to needles and finish off an escaping enemy - meaning that you spend most of the time healing and still get the odd kill.

The uber-speed boost is amazing in helping to pick off a dying enemy (combo-ing well with being able to see their life) or running away after your heavy has died.

This pack is beyond words in it's brilliance, obviously there are going to be moments where you'll have to switch to classic to take down a sentry nest but otherwise this has made the medic into such a well rounded and speedy class which helps the whole team.

Color me impressed! :D

Edit: The taunt you get for the Medic and Medic-buddy you get for the heavy are also amazing!

Not sure on the look of the bust either now I've got my hands on it - they might switch the style in the future, who knows?

Did you guys seriously pay for the items?

I'm not gonna lie, I'm really annoyed that I haven't gotten any yet. The servers I was playing around on had people finding the new weapons literally every 30-45 seconds, and I've been killed by just about everything but the Winger and the goomba-stompers already - hell, within the first 20 minutes after the update installed.

Meanwhile, I found... a Dead Ringer.

So I crafted a Disciplinary Action because I don't like the Pain Train, and every server I joined lost connection to the item server.

I don't want to be one of those impatient douchebags who whines because he doesn't have all the new sets by midnight, but it's seriously lame to play for hours after the update and not get one new item.

Also, achievements? No? Fine, whatever. I'll just keep track of cool shit on my own.

Whoa there, no need to be angry. The TF2 Servers are under a ton of Stress now, even our servers can't be updated because of it. If people want to pay for the items, then thats fine by me. The item servers have been going in and out of consiousness since the update. You just need to wait.

And for the achievements, there is already, what? 300 of them? more? Not getting 10-15 new achievements is fine in my book.

Besides the scout? None, he's the second fastest class. If only by a margin. I realise this is probably a rhetorical question but what i meant to say was i can't imagine the soldier getting more than 1 hit off on a scout, when he's not rocket jumping he's the second slowest class chasing after the fastest.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the new item featuer is amazing, but I don't like how it looks. running around with a bust for a weapon just seems stupid to me.

Yeah. It seems more like the kind of thing you'd throw at someone rather than smack them with. (Anyone remember the Cheat with his bust of Van Buren?) But that would be pretty impractical as a video game weapon.

Also, if it is a melee weapon, what is the downside supposed to be? Or have our worst fears of straight-upgrade items coming in, now that they're the sole source of income for the game, finally come true?
