This is my second map! My first map is not worthy of being posted here, but I feel that this one is somewhat special.

Any critiques would be awesome. I've been trying to get people to help me playtest this map, but so far, I've had no luck.

Though it would be nice if you added more pictures, the point is extremely open and will be dominated by snipers. Other than that I like the theme of your map.

I'll add some more pictures and I'll figure out a way to maybe help cover the main point. Only issue with covering it will be making it inaccessible to rocket and sticky jumpers.

As we all are admitting these things, i read the map name as footjob.

Directs to your signature as proof.


I'd say lower the point a little and add more cover, that would be good place to start.

And use other things besides orange textures, you can't tell who's side is who's.

1. The cp maybe gives to much height-advantage.
2. The upper part of the map needs more cover.
3. And there's a big sightline on pic.4.

Awesome, thanks, I'll lower the main point and add some cover on it, as well as add some ammo shacks around the main point, and some walls on the side catwalks!

As for using other textures: I've made the team spawns relatively tall. I guess I didn't make it too clear in the pictures that there are four spawns. Teams will spawn all around the map. You're almost always going to be in enemy territory. You can still dominate one area of the map where your spawn is, and you'll have teammates spawning elsewhere.
The other reason I'm not using anything but dev textures yet is because I'd like to finalize the layout before I detail this sucker. That's going to take a long while and a lot of planning.

You can edit your posts, no need for double posts unless you are posting about new version.

My bad! I'll stop that immediately. I'm an utter noob when it comes to forums.

The point looks like it would be interesting to play around, but I really think you need to break up your sight lines a bit more as snipers or wrangler engies would be really annoying.

I'm honestly unsure how to break the line of sight anymore than it is. Adding anymore buildings or structures around the point might make it way too cluttered, I dunno. I'm open to suggestions though. Thanks for the reply!
