Title pretty much says it all.
I just got TF2 today and I really want to play. But when I go into a server, the game will freeze when collecting server info.
Help please, Thanks!

I moved your thread to the appropriate forum.

I've had this happen before, and the issue was port forwarding in my case.
Are you behind a router?

If so, try connecting in DMZ mode. If that works, you know its a port issue.

Ah sorry.
Well actually, I started up TF2, left it for 20 minutes, went to eat lunch came back, and there was a button that said continue but I couldn't click it.
Because I guess it froze again.
Would my 756 RAM have to do with it loading super slow?
Because it loads pretty fast the first time then it takes forever.

Yes loading times in TF2 can be rather long (and it might seem they are stuck) but most of the times you will be able to get into the server though. Unless you are getting kicked before you can start playing.. I have not a clue about RAM or memory so I guess I'll pass that last question to someone else!! :)

You can't even have 756 MB RAM, because it has to be something with a power of 2. (768 is more likely).
However, since tf2 uses a lot of ram I'd recommend getting some more. Also because of the current standard is having 4GB of RAM.

Just wondering, what are your other system specs if you have this low amount of ram?

oops, it is 768. And yes it's two ram (cards?)
Intel(R)
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
768MB of RAM.
Yes it's a bad computer. 8 years old.
I only thought it was frozen because when I hover my mouse of the cancel button it didn't highlight.

Just so you know, when I run TF2 it takes up a full gigabyte all by itsef. So I don't know what to tell you except that now is probably a good time to start looking for a new computer.

Okay, I ALMOST got into a server.
The welcome screen appeared and it froze. I waited for awhile but nothing happened.

Have you tried disabling HTML MOTD's?
