Here it is folks. Serenity!

A conglomerate of cool ideas and bad modelling on my part, I present Serenity, a Chinese themed 3 stage A/D map with waterfalls, bamboo and cutout baby pandas (soon).

Like i would resist that. Looks good though. One concern i have is the waterfall. Maybe its the angle, but it looks like the water takes quite a jump there, rather than just falling.

It's looking pretty good already.

Are those window frames models? Are they available somewhere?

You probably already know about these lanterns and these screens, but they have no hiragana so should fit just fine in a Chinese map.

The windows are brushes, however I will eventually convert them to a model and I can always release it then.

Gonna put this on our server right now and give it nice in-depth play testing every major release.

That's probably not advisable because the current version requires the teams to be manually switched. I need to fix that, actually.

Lol, fair enough, on second hand now that you said that I did run through it on my own with a buddy and we did find some things just to point out. You may know about most of these, you may not. Just bringing them to attention =)

Some feedback just from running through it.

-Playerclips
• The big right(if your on red) to the right needs to be clipped off as it doesn't have a mesh to stop a player from walking through it and shooting from the other side completely hidden.
• The waterfall on the right you can hide down in the water at the bottom behind it and shoot out at the CP on the bridge.
• Some of the ledges it looks like you can get up on right now so hopefully the buildings will be higher or show that you can't get up on them.
• For as low as the building is you would think you can jump over the enclosed last CP to get to it but instead you are forced to go through very much campable doorways.
• The purple trees don't have any mesh to them either so you can walk through them as well, would need to have some decent clipping for natural movement around them. yet not get in the way if you wanted to jump over them.
• The bamboo as well does not have any mesh so proper clipping of that will also be needed to stop players from hiding or hiding sentries in it.


-Triggers
• Only thing I saw is if you spawn as blue right now you can't leave spawn(note: was on red, we lost, changed teams, blu spawn door triggers now worked.. that was odd).


-Layout
• Some long sightlines and lower cliffs that look as if you should be able to rocketjump or even double jump as a scout and get up onto.

Overall the feel and design seem good, obviously this is a0 so nothing big on parts of not having things done. Lol. I love the windows designs they seem fresh and new, maybe possiblt you can use a darker mahogany wood in place of the standard some for a better feel(Just my opinion). The purple trees are amazing and stood out the most for me. I also liked the center bridge having such a nice fuient curve to is yet being very open at the same time.

a0b (Yes, I keep my versions a0 until the third stage is complete, so a1 can be all three stages and so on) I've almost completely redone point 2.

As you can see here blue now has a much more varied choice to attack 1-2. Red also has a a way to get into a slightly higher point to shoot down onto blue, perhaps making it easier to defend. I can always make it higher!
Hopefully next version will also have stage 2, but I may push that back in favor of fixing the bug,
