Merging PLR Payload Paths

For a PLR map, is there any way for both payload paths to merge into one with only one final cap point? So for example, if one payload gets to the merge first, the other team would have to wait for it to back up in order to get to the merge. And then one final cap point that the merge leads up to for the win. Thanks.

You would have to just put the paths in the same place, but keep them separate. To prevent the other cart from moving just use some logic that toggles the capture area on and off.

For the CPs, you would have to keep two of them for the hud to show up properly, but what you can do is hide the real CPs and use a prop_dynamic of the hologram at the end of the track, and change that according to who wins.

The same thing that happens when both carts show up to a crossover at the same, i.e. nothing new, problem is already solved.
Though I believe the 'winner' is actually determined by the entity order in the data, so whichever side's logic you created first in Hammer is the one that gets to go. But I/Os are down to the hundredth of a second, so it is rarely an issue.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try them out. And for the merge, it's not huge. I was just thinking the last few feet in the final stage in the rush to the point.

So one team get's a very subtle advantage with Payload maps? Sure it's unlikely to matter, but it's interesting all the same.

Put it on a roll back maybe so if they keep it on roll back portion they have an advantage but if they don't it rolls back past the merge?

I think the merge being on a rollback was implied, otherwise there's no point at all, just wasted time for the other team after the merge
