Strange Texture Rotation (Hammer)

Hi Guys,

i have a strange problem in hammer. At some specific camera positions and angels, all my applied texture shrink and get rotated by 45°. Here a screenshot from that...

How it should be:



That only appear in this room and, as i mentioned, on specific locations with specific camera angels. I think it has something to do, with the glasswindow001a texture, but why?

It means nothing, just a rendering problem. it has nothing to do with compiling. I've seen it often with glass and It's never affected me.

Hmm, thanks :D

Would imagine that there is no way to fix that, otherwise you would have mentioned it xD

I think the glass texture causes it, because the vmt rotates the texture 45 degrees and it somehow affects other textures in hammer. But like Aly said, it doesn't affect the actual map in any way

I find that switching rendering mode in hammer from shaded textured to just textured gets rid of this problem and overlay glitches (in hammer. everything works just fine in-game anyway as said above).

It is in fact the reinforced glass material that does it. They use VMT rotation to prevent aliasing on the wires. I usually put all the brushes that use it in a visgroup so I can turn them off and not be bothered by this bug unless I'm working on the glass.
