FPSBanana is now GameBanana - It couldn't get any worse right?

Maybe it's a January Fools joke, and their new year starts in April ...

... no?

Never used the site myself, but I heard it was a good place to stick a map up to unleash it upon the world for download by millions of random passersby when faceless publicity was needed. But will that still be true with this shocking plot twist? :O

Are you sure it's not some elaborate joke?

Because it looks like something made in 1997, only with a modern version of photoshop.

That is not exactly comic sans but something really similar.
I'd say that this is even better than the old layout.

It's like the whole concept of html decided to digest itself and puke itself out onto a website and we get GAMEBANANA.

Are they using comic sans for the comments?

This can't be serious.

It's not. It's "Omniscript." Kinda reminds me of the text on a floor plan, which is why it really doesn't make sense for a comment section. But my biggest beef is that they don't even offer a default font option for browsers that don't support embedded fonts. They just get everything in Times New Roman.

And at least one good thing came out of this redesign: I can see how poor Firefox 4's handling of embedded fonts is (every single page flashes the text back and forth between Times New Roman and the specified font twice before finally settling on it).

I thought FPSB's existence was solely to test out your virus scanners to see if they worked due to them getting hacked every few months.

I am seeing this right... FPSB, just got worse...

Plastic surgery gone horribly horribly wrong.

Hopefully now people will actually see how much of a terrible website it is.

Hopefully we won't get the overflow of terrible mappers trying to find a new home.

Oh god... How did they manage to make it worse...
