I maybe looking at it wrong, but to me it seems that ramp leading to the cp is floating.

Yeah, that funny window must be next to a small door they widened.
A lot of the old promotional images show really nifty beta stuff, like how in Gravel Pit, RED could actually enter the BLU spawn zone, old versions of maps, different control point hologram designs, different weapons, character skins, so on and so forth. Most, if not all of it, is documented here.

Looks like a difference in general saturation or just fog values to me.
