So... i just woke up at absurdo time in the morning, 5:30am for you squares. I stumble out of bed, walk to the bathroom, and outside the window is WHITE. Not black... For those who don't know, snow here is kind of a big deal. Besides a little snow last year it hasn't really snowed in 7 years (it has snowed a little in the air, but never enough to even settle on the ground). So this is kind of a big deal here.

So it's 5:45 and there is 6 inches of unspoiled snow. Giant snow penis anyone?

Will provide photo's later so long as it doesn't get sabotaged.

As Valve said on their blog, we had a few snow days last week here in the Seattle area. Society really does collapse when that happens - the roads freeze over and it's impossible to drive anywhere, and almost impossible to walk. Thankfully all our snow melted on Thanksgiving day somehow and now we're back to normal. Hoping it doesn't happen again...

Build what you will. Find (or make...?) some yellow snow in a suitable nearby position for added effect. ;)

Snow penis is a must.

As for me, YAY for British inabilities to cope with snow! pretty much every school/college is closed for a measly few inches of lightly packed snow. It isn't even that deep on my path. Anywho, I get a day off, but I'm not going outside because I have almost no warm clothing to speak of. Ironic for someone who feels cold even in high summer...

Lucky you that you don't have to go to school when there's snow :p

We got snow here for around 3 months, and we must go to school.

Schools are closed when it's -25°C and it happened few years ago.

Specially for all Yellow snow fans :D

We've had snow in Norway for a few weeks, but it really got serious this week. -20°C yesterday, -17°C today. And it's gonna get colder.

People suck at snow.

I live in Wisconsin. We get a good snowfall every year. And every year, people forget how to drive in snow. ITS A YEARLY CYCLE, FFS.

hello_from_michigan_cover_art.jpg

we just got snow yesterday (snowed literally all day), and it left behind a whopping .003cm for us to build our troll caves (Michigan joke) it usually snows heavier in late December, early January. We got about 2ft last year, and 3-4 the year before that.

Trolls get there names from living under the bridge:

the other party is the Yoopers, they get there name by living above the bridge in the upper peninsula.

What?

I've lived in Michigan the entirety of my 30 years of life and I've never heard of this troll reference in regards to those living south of the Mackinac bridge. Yoopers of course do get their nickname by living the Upper Peninsula.
Upper Peninsula = U.P. = Yoo Pee (haha lolz I know) = Yooper

I envy those who live in areas that shut everything down for a light dusting of snow. If we lived by those same rules in Michigan the entire state would be shut down for at least 2.5 months every year. As it is, driving to work/school/wherever with a good foot of snow on the roads is an inevitability every season.

Like Tech already said... in Latvia it's snowing all the time in winter. Cold outside? Bad for us. We still have to go to school :D
I even went skiing yesterday. Fun.
Not that many people on the mountain yet.

You people that brag about getting the day off from school realize that generally you have the same amount of time in school as everyone else around you, right? The occasional exception may arise if, say, your school burns down or is used as a shelter during a flood, but generally, missing a day just adds to it later. That day is simply being pushed back.

I always hated the kids who didn't understand that if we extended my school's Christmas vacation (which is one day shorter than last year's due to where Christmas Eve falls), we would simply get out of school later. This also applies to our Thanksgiving Break where my school was open for two days in the week and nearby schools weren't - but then you should realize that those other schools are also the schools that started before us, yet end about the same time. They don't realize that though, because I'm surrounded by a bunch of annoying people who bother exchange students to be translators and don't know how to factor binomials.

Oh right. Snow. It snowed about a week ago, but not enough where it was collecting on the ground. Some shady places on the grass got a dusting, but I enjoyed my time in the freezing wind while it happened. <3 Snow
