Making the mainframe of the map. Help me out guys, I really need some tips.
I will add props, lights, and all that. Please tell me what I could add!
I will release more images as I continue making it :)
And Yes, I CHANGED THE DISPLACEMENT (caps just to get you to look at it, no anger.)
Need more tips!

Your displacements are really scary, turn the material scale up to something higher than 0.25x0.25. You should turn on prop render distance to really far (you can do this in hammer's options under 3d views). I can't really comment on anything layout-wise, as this is all I can see. I'm glad to see your roofs doing something different than just a flat brush!

It's generally a good idea to focus on gameplay and balance first, aesthetics later. Don't worry about how it looks atm, finish the layout and test it!

yea, seba, I just slapped on some textures to make the screenshots look better.
I really need to try my map with a server.... anyone know how to do something like that?

Protip: use the edit button.

You can get a map tested by submitting it for a Gameday (see Events forum). Just make sure it's fully playable or we won't play it.

I have had this name since I started, it is around blue team being architects, and red team stopping them...

Ok, don't really worry about detailing until your map layout is near finalised, if you have to change something, it can be a real pain with tonnes of props and details everywhere and frustrating that you loose a lot of time working. The displacement also looks really weird, try fixing them up a bit and increase the scale value of them. Also, some areas look a bit open, try and break up the sightlines.

Also, how on earth did two maps with almost the same name get released on the same day???

Thanks Red flame, I already changed the displacement, but the screenshots were from yesterday. I think my map is too small, and I don't know what to do...
I really need help with scale, so, I am going to upload the map soon, and see what you guys think.
I've barely touched props, there are like 8 in the whole map which won't be hard to change.
Thanks Redflame.

This here is a helpful tutorial on scaling, really helped mine get worked out, especially when it comes to heights and props.

EDIT: also remember that the FOV is very different in hammer than it is in game, so posting up pics from hammer can be rather detrimental.

Well, I feel like my map is too small in-between capture points. It takes about 10 seconds to get to the next point.... IDK.
