Lumbermill

Changed name to Lumbermill
:)

This is my first real map :D

The theme is a sort of lumberyard where wood is cut down and made into crates and so on, and throughout the map you follow the wood as it goes through different stages :thumbup1:

In the third screenshot it looks like the train is floating and in some of the others the ground displacements are not aligned properly.

If your having trouble finding tf2 textures to use, use 'tf' as a keyword in the Texture browser window.

If you mean you dont know which texture to put where, just try to think about the building its gonna go on. Most of the buildings in tf2 maps have an actual use other than just to fight in.

I'd take a quick walk around sawmill if you're having problems deciding on textures. Though a rainy setting can add to the mood of a map, it tends to make it seem gray and drab like honorum said. Try using wood or colored metal to liven the map up a bit.

The Sawblade should be turned the other way, this way the log would be thrown in the air. ;)
I know it really wouldnt effect gameplay, but it just bothers me. :p

Oh hey, it's the artpass!
But aside from that, a tad dark. Also, do those doors open? If not, make them have some sort of no-entry sign on them (the ones on the far right of the picture).

This is exactly what I was thinking. Looks fairly good from the screenshots, but I have to agree it seems a little on the gray side. Tweaking the color of the sunlight and adding a few other lights besides would probably help to make things a bit less bland.
