I'm new here, and I'll make this quick. I am a mapper for tf2, gmod, and a source mod mapper. As my signature says, I can do practically anything people think is impossible, as I made the HHH spawn in my map, and got the achievments. So I'm pro at mapping to fit different peoples needs. Pm me and I'll get it done asap.

man, placing custom entities is easy, or at least to me. 'less anyone else has done it before the 30th, I'm probably the first to add the HHH to a map and still get the 'cheevos. Plus I've been mapping for a good few years, so I've been 'round the bush.

I want you to carve 100 times without hammer crashing if you are so great. i'm sure others can think of better ones. :p

we actually could benefit from some knowledgeable people/mappers since shmitz and others left.

Well then, I might like it here. I am sure that I can provide useful skills for fellow mappers.

Several people have posted methods of spawning the horsemann. It is also not a custom entity. It is an existing entity in the game code, it just wasn't added to Hammer because there is little proper reason to use it there.

Cool! Mind showing us some existing maps that you have made? I do not doubt your excellence but I'd like to see some of the awesomeness that may come from your arrival.

We've got some pretty skilled mappers here, most of whom developed their skills over time on this forum, we'd love to see some new amazing talent right out of the box. So we'd love to see your work, and look at what you are like as an all-rounded mapper, not just an entity monkey (yes I made that up just then).

Anyway, welcome, and remember, the source engine can do a lot more than spawn a HHH.

P.S. Elec0 released an HHH map which worked with the achievements on the 30th, so bragging rights aren't awarded yet. (plus he reduced his reaction range as well!)

could you stick an overlay on a func_door, please? this would be pretty useful

I've done it once, but it was on a physbox. Though I suppose the same rules apply.

Technically no, but basically yes. I haven't used a func_door with that as it never occured as something I have time for, but I've had an overlay attached to a physbox, which proves it as possible, I'm gonna do it tommorow to see if it works, as it's late at night, i'm tired, and my computer has to update in a minute. So for 'bout 15 hours till I'll have a chance to use sdk.

EDIT: screw what I said, I tested it and it works basically, I just had to select the face of the door, and load the map up, thank god I already had a map I was working on. But it was kinda weird though, as the door was moving, it lagged behind. Might just be my computer, but doesn't look too good, it'd be better to add a thin brush attached to the door with the overlays texture.
EDIT 2: did some calculations, if you just group the door and the overlay together, it should be more realisic when moving. If not, well, I came to the conclusion on my iPhone a minute ago. And I'm signing off for the night. Later.
