About to go on a tangent, prepare for a tl;dnr, and a critical hit from the wall of text.
So I was at Borders today and my aunt and a lady randomly show up. Me and my brother usually go there to lounge and chat with friends, like gentlemen.
My aunt as a job tutors college students in how to work with Dreamweaver and make sites in notepad, and that sort of stuff. So I sat down and started chatting with them, we talked about how we all are (or went to) Wake Technical Community College. Now I'm not proud of going to a community college, but it's the only school that offers "Simulation & Game Development". I'm majoring in that to become a level designer, currently 22 years old. I mentioned that I'm wanting to be a level designer and she then told me that she lives beside a guy who works at Epic Games. I was like "wow man, that's freaking awesome!". I live in Apex, North Carolina and Epic Games is in Cary. For those unaware (most are, or should be), it's ten miles away from where I reside.
She told me that he's a concept artist for the level designers. Anyways, long story short, she said she'd pass my contact info over to him and he may talk with me.
If all goes well, I can show him my Team Fortress 2 map that I've been working on for about a year or so now (on and off), and perhaps he could be a guest speaker for my Photoshop class.
Wish me luck stuff.
